I measured my carbon footprint by visiting two sites. The first one was longer and has more questions and I got 4.95 in it (WWF). It is very high and I were not aspect this result. The second one was shorter and easier than the first one and I got in it 1.7 (Heroes). There is a big different between the two sites. My average was around 3.325 planets.

I compared my results with my friends. There was a slightly different between us. One friend was very close to me, while the other three results were very far from mine. The lowest one was Abdulazez with 2.55 planets. The world wide average of carbon footprint per person is 2.1. UAE is the highest one in the world in the ecological footprint in 2006 (Wikipedia).
We have to work together to reduce carbon footprint. There are many ways to reduce it like using solar power, wind turbines and manage the use of the electricity in home. In addition, we can use biodiesel for our vehicles instead of the normal diesel, which produces a large amount of carbon dioxide. We must start now.

Wow! I really like your graph. It makes the measurement very impressive.
ReplyDeleteCan you mention the categories that were used to measure carbon footprints? Why were the two sites different? Why is one student's score so much higher?
Similarly, please add more detail to the recommendations. What can you, personally, do to reduce YOUR output of carbon dioxide? A switch to solar power is not practical, but maybe switching off the lights could be.
Keep up the good work!
